Autopathy (sometimes also autoisopathy) is a special  method of holistic healing which has developed out of the two hundred year old tradition of homeopathy. In essence it consists of using homeopathically highly diluted secretions from the body of the person who is being healed (in this book saliva).

The book gives a precise description of the methodology used in autopathy, bearing in mind not only a trained homeopath but also the layperson.

Autopathy involves an even closer spiritual resonance  than that for a similar homeopathic remedy, the practical consequences of which can be seen in the treatment of chronic and also acute illnesses as well as in prevention and improving people's general health.

The book provides a history of the discipline, how it developed out of homeopathy and how it shares much of the philosophy and methodology of the mother discipline, particularly with regard to the choice of dilution - potency, repeating the dose of the autopathic preparation etc. It concludes that while autopathy is a continuation of homeopathy in a philosophical and methodological sense, it represents an advance of a new quality. Autopathic healing and self-healing are relatively easy to master, requiring a knowledge of    uncomplicated principles. Not only is it gentle, it is also effective.

It does away with some of homeopathy's drawbacks, such as the complex  search for the right medicine; it was also effective in cases where homeopathy had failed.

Drawing on the author's experience of many treated cases, the book profiles this remarkable method for dealing with chronic complaints, and records its outstanding results. There are about twenty case histories involving long-term, chronic ailments and illnesses which have been wholly cured or markedly improved by autopathy. Most of the cases described had been treated previously without success, often over many years, by practitioners using traditional methods or subsequently also homeopathy and other alternative approaches. All the case histories come from the author's own practice.

A major contribution to the subject is the method for the reliable production of an authopathic, highly diluted preparation in the home. The preparation can be produced by anyone, in household conditions, using their own saliva and just a few litres of water. The book provides detailed instructions on how to produce the preparation. Readers have given accounts of the excellent results obtained from self-healing conducted according to the book and have praised the book's readability, its spiritual philosophical framework incorporating the method into New Age currents, and its practical benefits for their own lives. The principles and details of undertaking autopathic self-healing without a consultant are contained in a separate chapter of the book..

A special glass instrument - professional aid known as the Autopathic Bottle can  be used to produce the vortex potency of saliva in the home.

The book's German translation was published in August 2004 by Windpferd, Aitrang, Germany.
